Yep. But when those parents get mad at you, you are screwed! When I was in HS this older guy was dating a girl younger than me. They had been dating forever. Then he wanted to break up with her and this whole mess started. Her mom threatened to have him charged with SR.

I know ER knows his stuff, but also hes sorta new and fresh to the game and ask him if he can come out with any real examples whatsoever of this that didnt come from the law books. I talked to someone whos been doing this for 20 or 25 years and they said they anytime something like this (ie over 18 or 19 year old teenager dating a 15-17 year old that even if the parents did go after them its always throw out for various reasons.
A good story about this I saw on Real Sports with Bryant Gumble is that some big time football player from South Carolina who was a 19 year old senior was dating some 15 or 16 year old and ended up being prosecuted and throw in jail for their consenual relationship. After the segment aired on Real Sports which showed figures of this hardly EVER happening to a teenager(less than 10 percent of the trials actually make it and are convicted in that situation, which of course mostly can be due to younger teens such as 13 and 14 year olds ), it was brought back up and went back to trial he was released and cleared of the charges. The main reason he was tried in the first placed seemed to be because the prosector that went after him was racist.
This is sorta of good topic though, especially with all these guys we know around here seemingly breaking the law that hardly no one seems to have a problem with?
It doesn't matter that we know but the fact that they did happen. The fact that he is "a super athlete " may mean that we do know about this but it may also be the reason that he got off so easy. You are right about one thing and that is we wouldn't know if it were "nobody" who had done this and most likely we wouldn't that "nobody" would be sering time for what he did.

This may be the same thing you are talking about Diets, but about two or three years ago there was a very good h.s. football player in Georgia, who had "relations with a girl". She supposedly really liked him, but because he was African-american and she was Caucasion, when everyone found out, she told her dad it was rape. Anyway, I think the rape charge was dropped because the evidence proved it was consensual. But, the proseuctors wanted to make a point and kept a child molesting charge (this charge was brought because of his age and her age, it was some new law) or something and it ended up going to the Georgia Supreme court. The guy had a scholarship to Vandy and lost it because of the impending trial. He was supposedly a good student, a good person, and an outstanding football player, and because of his relationship with the girl he lost everything. I have no idea what happened at the Supreme Court level though, I think charges ended up being dropped. I learned about it in a child abuse class. I know it was all over the news though, and on Oprah. I may have forgotten parts of it, but that was the main jist of it I think.
Yes I think you might be right. Cant really recall but that sounds really familar. I thought it was South Carolina though I could be wrong its been over a year since I saw that air. Your either right or its a very simular case. Its just another good example if it is a different case.

Was he actually charged with statutory rape or did the other girls say he had sex with the 3rd girl? I don't recall the girls parents ever filing charges.

Don't take this personally. I have nothing at all against you. But anybody who gives the opposing fans the bird on national tv, or stomps on an opposing player, again on national tv, or hits an opposing coach in the back of the neck, again on national tv is a thug. In the beginning I defended Vick. But now I just don't know what to say about him except that he is a THUG. Tech would be better off if he had gone to school somewhere else. If he had gone to UT or Miami or anywhere else and done the same things you would have been on his case big time. It is a shame all his talent was wasted on the college level.
